Not art related, but thought I’d share for any medical-nuts out there like me. My A&P textbook came with a cool little program that allows you to simulate lab experiments. This was an experiment with dialysis. I still have a lot to learn, but was surprised with how well I did. I can’t wait to do experiments in a real lab!

These are a series of WIPs from my “Riptor” commission. Not only will you see how I go about painting and layering fur, but you’ll also see how, like much of my art, the picture evolves (eg. going from a greeny bg to raining, and changing the eye and expression, etc). I tend to follow my muse when painting so a sketch may end up looking completely different to the end piece.

It’s been forever since I updated my Tumblr. Haven’t had much to show that isn’t already posted on my FA. But in the next coming weeks I’ll be posting quite a few WIPs here of traditional works.

At the moment I’m sketching out a sad anthro boxer hitch-hiking in the rain, which I plan to turn into a small 8” x 10” painting :D

Early work in progress shot of a lucky dip commission for Fuzzywazzy. I am approaching this one with more of a traditional feel, and I like how it’s turning out so far. I’ve been using very loose brush strokes, and these will be tightened up a bit as I keep adding detail, but I am hoping to keep that rather traditional look.

Referenced a lot off this photo: http://pixdaus.com/pics/12214818061NDyz8E.jpg I wanted to capture that hazy autumn look because it’s just gorgeous.

Am yet to paint in the character, obviously! I haven’t used any sketches thus far, I’ve just been working with colours. Not sure if I’ll use the same approach for the character or sketch him in first.

Work in progress of a commission I started yesterday, with an obvious “Skyrim” theme :) I’ve gotten totally carried away with it, especially the background. Usually I struggle a lot with mountains but I found some really useful mountain brushes that allowed me to at least put a series of bases down (kind of like building your own mountain range!) and then paint in the rest. Anyway, it still needs a lot of work, but click the link below to view the current WIP. I’ve also added in a link to mountain brushes.
